I have had AppCheck Anti-Ransomeware quarantine it before but that was just again for deleting files. I always interpreted that to refer to it normally by its design deleting cache files and other user data. I've never had an issue with CCleaner adding anything to a browser, although Comodo says it wants to change browser settings. It is helpful to get a look at all that COULD be deleted, but I only remove a fraction of what is offered by CCEnchancer for the browsers. This is a cool little hidden app that adds alot of functionality to CCleaner. I have studied the cleaners and Windows fairly intensively over the years, so I added CCEnhancer: I use both it and CCleaner on the laptop here. I won't use these tools again unless the developers actually take some time to fix these utilities or get them to work better. The standard Wise Disk Cleaner program seems safe to use. The registry cleaning is still the same, gets great reviews but I doubt people understand what it's actually cleaning because it doesn't do that great of a job. Still didn't clean basic things, all left behind except this time, there is an option to choose the recycle bin. I knew this was a familiar instance so I went to Wise Disk Cleaner, guess what? It was that application that caused this grief to begin with and I merely forgot when using this all in one system they put together. Ok, try number 2, uncheck any browser cleanings at all, should leave it alone right? Nope. Again, trying to figure out just what it's cleaning that's causing this, well, I ended up uninstalling Firefox, reinstalling it, was the only way to repair it.Įven in IE, Snapfiles would not load correctly or other sites.

I had another cleaning app that did the same.ĭownload this, make a restore point or backup first, run the regular cleaning and fix, then open Firefox and go to snapfiles, it gives you a list on the side with no images except the logo and links and other sites as well.
